The renovated spa at Herdade da Malhadinha Nova, a project designed by the renowned Aires Mateus architecture studio, is not just a relaxing space. The M Welness SPA is where the serenity of the countryside meets the refinement of the best wellness treatments, creating a sensory experience that celebrates the wine-growing landscape that surrounds it.
With 110 square meters, it has three treatment rooms, a sauna and a sensory shower. Here, in addition to chakra alignment, Indian massages, hot stone massages, tea rituals and treatments inspired by traditional Hawaiian medicine, there are also vinotherapy experiences available which, given the surroundings, are undoubtedly the most special ones.
Based on the antioxidant properties of grapes, vinotherapy has proven to be a powerful ally against skin ageing, fatigue and stress. At this spa, each treatment is carefully thought out to maximise the virtues of the products used.
The vinotherapy treatments available include wine baths, grape seed scrubs and relaxing massages with oils extracted from grape seeds. These treatments not only help to revitalise the skin, but also provide a sense of deep well-being, restoring harmony between body and mind.
The Spa Menu includes experiences for couples where massages are applied simultaneously in the same room. After the treatment, the couple is invited to extend the treatment in an immersion bath with essential oils and enjoy a taste of the Estate's wine with an unobstructed view of the infinity of the vineyards.
Exfoliation with grape skins is another unique moment. During the scrub, the grape skin is mixed with other natural ingredients such as essential oils, honey or rosemary, which complement its effects and enhance the feeling of comfort and relaxation. The massage using gentle, circular movements not only exfoliates the skin but also relieves muscle tension, providing a deep state of relaxation.
All the treatments at the Herdade da Malhadinha Nova Spa are complemented by skincare products from IGNAE, a Azorean Portuguese brand that favours the use of natural resources, perfectly balanced with biotechnology.
