The story of Malhadinha began to unfold in 1998, in Alentejo. The history of Leitão & Irmão dates back to 1822, in Porto. Their paths have crossed before, but in 2025, thanks to a very special collaboration, they took on a new dimension. They became timeless.
Following the historic Portuguese high jewellery house, synonymous with tradition, excellence, and refinement, with a legacy of over two centuries serving royalty and elegance, choosing Malhadinha — and our connection to honey — as the setting and inspiration for the launch in 2024 of the beautiful Bee Edition collection, it was our turn to challenge Leitão & Irmão to create four unique bracelets and five necklaces infused with our DNA, our essence, our values.
We wanted pieces with history, linked to our emotional heritage — which is why both the silver pendants on both the necklaces and bracelets feature engraved animal figures such as a calf, a rabbit, a hen, a duck, a goat, and a frog, designed by the third generation of the Soares family and previously present on some of the most iconic labels of our wines — but also with the potential to create new memories for those who acquire them.
Priced between €175 (bracelets) and €195 (necklaces), these pieces are exclusively available in our physical and online stores. Our wish is for that every time we see and feel them, we remember that time is precious — it does not stop, but it can walk slowly, at the rhythm of what truly matters. After all, slow living, the concept of savouring life without haste, is something we pursue and practise at Malhadinha.
